Ethical Office - Supplies

Office Supplies

If you type in to Google 'Ethical Office' their results will return around 14,000,000 results, what does that tell us? It tells us that business is no longer the cut throat world of profit margins and corporate ladders that it once was. Has business gone soft? No, it has just grown up and realised that the impact of even the smallest business has on the world, and the environment that encompasses it, carries a heavy weight.

We all need to do our bit to try and slow down the wheels of pollution that are churning out the demise of the world in which we live in and we believe that every little helps.

Ethical Office Supplies are what we supply and we donate to charity a percentage of the gross price every time you buy something from us, be it a recycled ink cartridge or machine for business. You can read about the different charities we donate to on this website.

If you would like to talk to us about what we do feel free to contact us any time.

Toner Recycling Companies

Type in toner recycling companies to any search engine and it will return hundreds of thousands of results, maybe even over a million, so how do you know which company is the right company for you to have your used inkjet cartridges picked up and recycled by? The company who appear at the top of the search list? The company who have an all singing, all dancing website with flashing images etcetera? It is hard to tell one from the other. Most cartridge recycling companies are a good choice as the industry has some genuine companies who really care about the environment as well as being in business but some offer a little more than others and so allow you to help more areas of the planet and society without you having to do very much at all. It is all about choosing the right company for you.

All toner recycling companies are different, some are purely about recycling used cartridges whilst others offer a whole range of recycling services for many different products such as computers, mobile phones etc and others, like us, also donate a percentage of all recycled cartridges to charity. We like to think of ourselves as an ethical company who do what we can to help where we can whilst running a productive and successful business.

So if you are considering starting to recycle your office consumables once you have finished with them take a moment to ask yourself or your team what you/they would like to contribute toward by recycling before choosing. Most recycling companies will collect your empties from you and provide free post pouches for the smaller cartridges, so it is just a case of how far you want to reach by recycling.

Toner recycling is free and hassle free so get in touch today and help the planet and the people around us who need it most.

Toner Cartridge Recycling

All the papers, radio talk shows and television debate shows have a new hot topic - The Credit Crunch! Everywhere we go we are being told that Britain is in the clutches of a near recession, everyone is tightening their belts and luxuries such as organic food are definitely off the shopping list.

Some are arguing that the current climate means that being green is too expensive and so must take a back seat but this couldn't further from the truth. Now is the perfect time to start exercising your hunter gatherer instinct and implement a fool proof plan to put more money in your pocket and help the recovery of our wonderful world.

There are many little things you can do to help the environment and obviously our main bag is to recycle used ink cartridges you might call them laser toners, and help out charities in the process by donating a percentage of the profits created by printer cartridge recycling to those charities. So if you use ink cartridges at home or in the office why not take some of the weight off the environment and send your empties free of charge to us at Memorandum and we will do some truly wonderful things with them; better to extend the life of a product rather than to resign it to a landfill site fuelling pollution.

At home there are many money saving and environmentally friendly things you can adopt such as growing your own vegetables or planting a tree. Not got room? You can get a bucket and grow your own potatoes all year round, no allotment needed. Same with fruit trees, you can now get a fruit tree that can live and produce edible fruit that won't grow over 5ft making them perfect for the patio or a back yard if you don't have a garden. No pesticides, just naturally grown fresh food and grown all by your own fair hand!

The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation

When we collect your used printer cartridges we do not charge you for doing so, the service is free. What we do is have the cartridges reconditioned filled and then sold on to be used again thus cutting down on resources taken from the planet in order to produce them such as oil. For every cartridge we recondition and sell we promise to donate up to two popunds to charity and to date we have donated/raised over sixty five thousand pounds. With this money we have been able to help the Rainbow Centre based in Bristol and the more recognised Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation.

The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation is a charity who is dedicated solely to the fight to eradicate lung caner by research and through funding support centres (the world's first lung cancer centre has just been opened in Liverpool).

Roy Castle was a well known and loved entertainer in the UK, he was also a life long non smoker. In 1992 Roy Castle was diagnosed with lung cancer, a cancer which did manifest itself due to pollution in the environment and passive smoking. Passive smoking is when a non smoker inhales the smoke from a cigarette which is being smoked by another.

Roy teamed up with an established lung cancer foundation which was founded by Ray Donnelly. Donnelly is a thoracic surgeon who set up the Lung Cancer Foundation in 1990, Roy gave is name to the foundation to promote awareness of the disease and to raise funds to help research ling cancer.

You can help this worthwhile charity by recycling your used printer cartridges with us here at Memorandum. Every cartridge recycled helps toward finding a cure for this devastating disease, a disease which kills more people than any other cancer. All you need to do is click here to arrange a collection box and we will do the rest.

Inkjet Cartridge Recycling

Inkjet Cartridge Recycling

Recycling is now a part of everyday life for most of us in the UK. We recycle our household waste in order to help the environment cope under ever increasing loads put up on the planet in the form of air born pollution, and in the land fill sites around the world which are becoming full. Do we just carry on digging up the earth and filling the spaces with rubbish or do we try to reuse what we can and promote a cleaner, healthier planet for us and our future generations to live in?

We specialise in recycling office consumables, mainly inkjet cartridge recycling. In the work place toner cartridges are constantly being used up and dumped in the bins, we recycle the paper we do not need anymore so why not the cartridges we use to document the working day?

Estimates suggest that nearly 400 million inkjet cartridges are used every year world wide with less than 10% of these cartridges actually being recycled so what happens to the rest. They are left to decompose in the earth causing pollution and effectively ruining millions of micro climates which are essential for sustaining life; we don't need to go into the domino effect this is likely to have on the world.

So we are asking you to come on board and do your bit for the environment, our charities (which we will talk about next time) and your own company. It pays to recycle and use recycled toners and inkjets as they are cheaper than the brand new versions.

If you would like to talk to us about inkjet cartridge recycling simply give us a call and we will be happy to help.

Inkjet Recycling - Recycling Office Consumables

Welcome to the Memorandum blog; here is where we will be offering our thoughts, latest news and product reviews on the products and services we have to offer. We will also be letting you know about comings and goings within the company and general musings on recycling and environmentally sustainable products.

As you have probably gathered we are a company who specialise in providing two services one being that we supply office equipment and the other being that we collect and recycle your old inkjet cartridges and other machine consumables.

In this web log we will be talking a little about what we do and how we do it without getting technical about the whole process (well, we might do sometimes) and speaking frankly about the advantages of recycling office consumables. Providing 'green' products for the office is something we believe should be commonplace in all working environments, we find it baffling that there are not more of the multi national companies providing a recycling service for their products but we whole heartedly welcome the responsibility of taking the reins and flying the flag for recycling cartridges in the United Kingdom today.

Check back from time to time to find out what is happening at Memorandum and if you want to get in touch to ask us anything about the service we provide feel free to.
